Coffee, food, and fashion collide at this unique collaboration.
Pronounced “Cee-degree,” Siam Paragon’s buzzing ground-floor cafe brings together celebrity chef Gaggan Anand, chef twins Thomas and Mathias Surhing, and Anupong “Pint” Kuttikul of sneaker house Carnival for a collaboration unlike any this city has seen.
Together, they each bring a bit of what they do or love most to the table: good coffee, a Europe-spanning menu, and a fresh line of streetwear.
The space is spread across two floors. The coffee bar reigns supreme on the ground level, with overhead rows of lights in the shape of coffee filters. Head up a short flight of stairs to peruse a selection of streetwear curated for the shop and then further up to a more secluded dining area.
Heading up the coffee is Anand, who has traveled near and far in search of the perfect blend. At the “slow bar,” you’ll find the fruits of his labor, with beans from Panama and Ethiopia. Choose between options like A Lot Better (B200) or go all out with the Extremely Rare (B450).
Whatever you do, don’t ask for an americano, a frappe or decaf, but do order a CDGRE espresso (B100), a hot macchiato (B120), or a signature drink such as the Kaek Chai (B180), a mix of black tea, cardamom, ginger, and spices served hot or cold with cashew or oat milk.
The Suhring brothers, meanwhile, have crafted a menu that sets them free of the boundaries from their Michelin-starred establishment. While you do get hints of their finesse in dishes like foie gras toast with yuzu (B450/three pieces) and salmon roe with smoked cream (B360/three pieces), they mostly tone it down and venture into European territory. For example, their signature “Brotzeit” picnic (B880), a feast of cured meats, pork rillette, cheese, and a few homemade spreads, pickles, and hearty bread.
Other Europe-drawn fare you’ll find includes a wagyu tartare (B650), crispy pork knuckle (B980)— which can easily feed more than two—and fun bites like fries topped with currywurst (B280). (Anand’s touch also makes an appearance on the menu in dishes like the chicken tikka masala burger, B350).
For dessert, expect German-inspired pastries such as crème brulée-filled berliners (B140) and a Black Forest affogato (B250), available in the dining room upstairs or the downstairs cafe.
