This American fast food chain is a haven for night owls with burger, ribs, and shake cravings. The spot is open 24-7 and while the regular shakes are great, we personally love their four adult options. The "spiked" shakes (B189) are refreshing and tasty with a flavorful kick. The chocolate option comes with Kahlua and chocolate liqueur, and the coconut version comes with Malibu rum and vanilla ice cream.
G/F, Pullman Bangkok Hotel G, 188 Silom Rd., 02-238-1991
This Chiang Mai burger specialist made its way to Bangkok, bringing its signature American-style burgers and milkshakes with it. Try the Really Dark Chocolate (B340) featuring a frothy concoction of the perfect ratio between pure dark chocolate ice cream and milk, ideal to pair with their Double Double (B340) with two patties, double cheddar cheese, bacon, caramelized onions, and, you guessed it, beast sauce.
Thonglor Soi 10, 065-441-1145. Open daily 10.30am-2pm; 4.30pm-11pm. BTS Thonglor.
If you’re in Ari and want a decadent burger and milkshake with the backdrop of industrial standard decor, then Cast Iron Burger is a solid bet. We love their Vanilla Hollicks (B200), a hand spun milkshake giving off milky richness. They also occasionally do some weird combinations—think PETA-unfriendly foie-gras milkshakes on their special menu.
Noble Reform, Phahon Yothin Soi 7. Open daily 11am-3pm; 5pm-11pm. Tel. 062-920-0300. BTS Ari.
The brains behind Sathorn’s favorite craft ice cream shop have set up camp at The Commons to serve up flavorful shakes using their most popular flavors and quality natural ingredients. Try the smooth and creamy Fresh Milkshake (B220), which is made with signature Don’t Give Up #18 ice cream topped off with sprinkles. Alternatively, the Pink Honey Citrus Shake (B220) comes triple-loaded with Naughty Honey, Tokyo Mist (a yuzu orange sorbet), and Don’t Give Up #18 ice creams, with added beetroot for a pink hue.
The Commons Thonglor. Open daily 10am-10pm. Tel. 093-109-9580. BTS Thonglor.

, Mickey’s is inspired from Kader’s time in San Francisco to bring out the same quality diner experience he’s craving. His chocolate milkshake (B160) features artisanal chocolate ice cream from a delivery only ice cream shop Yora
from renowned pastry chef Saki Hoshino.

Fats and Angry (Ari)
After successfully opening its first branch in Charoenkrung, this American-diner style cafe has brought their 50s vibe to Ari Soi 4—think cool posters and red-and-white wall patterns. Go for their strawberry milkshake (B165) or cookie and cream milkshake (B165) if you want to give yourself a heady sugar rush. Their burgers, on the other hand, received praises from no less than Russell Crowe #lostinbangkok October last year.
Gump's Ari Community Space. Ari Soi 4. Open daily 11am-8pm. Tel. 097-238-0935. BTS Ari.
The Hidden Milkbar
Although it looks and sounds like another hipster trap, this eye-popping cafe situated on the third floor of Fotoclub in Charoenkrung Soi 32 really excels at what they do: milkshakes and Aussie snacks. Try their Cherry Ripe (B160), which reimagines Australia’s most classic chocolate bar into a short glass of dessert, mixing vanilla and milk topped with cherry.
1158 Charoenkrung Rd. Open Fri-Sun 11am-6pm.
We won’t be discussing the subtle—or obvious—similarities of this burger joint in Langsuan and Eight Thonglor with certain burger brands you may well already know. Still, the shake is a simple treat done well, featuring vanilla ice cream, oreo, and strawberry. Pair it with their classic burgers starting at B190.
Velaa. 95 Sarasin Rd. Open daily 24 hours. Tel. 061-632-6444.
Tucked down Soi Yen Akat, Little Market is a humble but stylishly decked-out diner packed with vintage collectibles, popping colors and classic American diner vibes.
